About Epic Meal Recipes

Epic Meal Recipes is a home cooking website built around one idea: a recipe should work the first time you make it. We publish clear, carefully checked recipes for everyday dinners, bakes, drinks, and snacks.

Hi, I am Savannah Blake, the home cook behind Epic Meal Recipes.

The story behind the site

Epic Meal Recipes began with a love of cooking passed down by my grandmother. From around the age of 10, I was always in the kitchen beside her, learning by watching, tasting, and helping. After she passed away, I wanted to carry that tradition forward in her honor.

My goal with this site is simple: to share my love of cooking with other people. Cooking at home is about more than food. It is about the people you cook for and the memories made around the table, and every recipe here is written to help you create a few of your own. I still cook and try recipes at home before sharing them.

Why this site exists

Many recipe pages bury the useful part under long stories, vague amounts, and steps that skip important details. We wanted the opposite: a place where the ingredient list, the method, the timing, and the storage notes all agree with each other, so you can cook with confidence on a busy weeknight or a slow weekend.

What you get with every recipe

Clear, exact recipes

Real ingredient amounts, oven temperatures, cooking times, and numbered steps written in plain language.

Food safety built in

Safe internal temperatures, such as 165 degrees F for poultry, 160 degrees F for ground meat, and 145 degrees F for fish, plus sensible storage times for leftovers.

Honest nutrition

Calories and nutrients are estimates based on the listed ingredients, and we say so. They are not medical advice.

How a recipe gets on the site

  1. We choose a dish people actually cook. Family favorites, classic bakes, weeknight dinners, and drinks.
  2. We write the method clearly. Ingredients use generic names instead of brands, and measurements use familiar US units.
  3. We check the numbers. Servings, pan size, salt, timing, safe temperatures, and nutrition math must all make sense together.
  4. We keep improving it. When a reader points out a problem or we find a clearer method, we update the post.
