Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup long grain white rice
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth or water
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Stir in the rice and cook for another 2–3 minutes to lightly toast it.
  • Pour in chicken broth and add a pinch of salt. Stir.
  • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes.
  • Once the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
  • Fluff with a fork and garnish with chopped herbs if desired.
