- 1 cup long grain white rice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 2 cups chicken broth or water
- Salt to taste
- Optional: chopped parsley or green onions for garnish
In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in the rice and cook for another 2–3 minutes to lightly toast it.
Pour in chicken broth and add a pinch of salt. Stir.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes.
Once the rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes.
Fluff with a fork and garnish with chopped herbs if desired.
