Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining.
  • While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Sauté for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Let the sauce thicken slightly, then add lemon juice.
  • Toss the drained pasta into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen.
  • Return shrimp to the pan and mix gently until heated through.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
