- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup cold water or coffee for deeper flavor
Preheat oven to 350 °F / 175 °C. Lightly grease an 8×8‑inch baking pan.
Combine dry ingredients: In the pan (or a bowl), whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
